Day 2: Negambo – Trincomalee – Konesvaram Hindu Temple
You will begin your day by enjoying a breakfast buffet (a combination of Sri Lankan and western foods changing daily).
Today, you will be transferred to the diving school and villa located at Trincomalee’s Uppuveli Beach. The journey will take around 7 hours and 250 kilometers. You will have your lunch during the journey and you will stop at reputed restaurant with a lakeside view for lunch.
You will feel Sri Lanka’s nature during the journey like its forest, lakes, and animals (elephants, etc.). Once you check in to the hotel, you can have a rest. When dawn comes, you will travel to visit Koneswaram Hindu Temple located nearby.
At night, you will have a campfire on the beach and dinner will be a Sri Lankan-style barbecue. You can spend the night as you wish or you can take a rest.
Day 3: Two PADI Advanced Water Diving and Theory Lessons – Two Adventure Dives
You will begin your day by enjoying a breakfast buffet (a combination of Sri Lankan and western foods changing daily). You will have beginners’ diving lessons or professional dive guiding at a diving school near the beach. Then, you can collect your basic equipment and start your practice with the diving teacher.

- Video analysis education
- Shallow water dive practice
- Learn safety and how to use equipment
- Adventure dive – 2 bottles in 2 spots
You will have buffet for lunch. In the spare time, you may relax on the beach or go snorkeling in the afternoon. If you like, you can go watch the evening sunset locations on the beach till the sun goes down. In the evening, you will enjoy barbecue grilled dinner or Sri Lankan food and take a rest.
Day 4: Two Adventure Diving Lessons – Night Dive
Wake up to a freshly prepared breakfast (Sri Lankan and western foods changing daily as you wish). This will be your day two of your diving career, so slap on the sunscreen, take your theory and practical lesson at the theater (the theory is every day and can be before or after the dive session), head to the dive school for either a lesson or guided dive. The afternoon is yours for the taking.
You may explore Trincomalee, shop, relax at the beach, or go for a free snorkeling session. The tour hub will have recommended optional adventures for you to do in the afternoons; as well as visiting natural hot water wells at 5 p.m near Kinnia. Start the night dive at 7.30 p.m. and enjoy the nightlife on the beach. Enjoy your own dinner and end the day with some well-deserved beers and rest as you wish.
Day 5: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course Final Exam (Theory) – Pigeon Island Snorkeling Tour
After your breakfast, head to the dive school where you will have a final theory exam (1 hour). After this, all the lessons are finished and hopefully, you will dive on your own at a dive spot with the team.
At 10:00 a.m., you will start heading to Pigeon Island by boat with your snorkeling equipment along with a mobile tent. The 20-minute journey will take you to the island and you will set up your camp at the beach according to your selection. You will have a snorkeling guide and you can go snorkeling around the island as you like with support of the guide.
The hotel will deliver the pre-ordered lunch to the campsite and you are free to taste your lunch in the camp site. You will stay till 5:00 p.m. at the camp site and you can do whatever you wish like go snorkeling or just resting. Then, you will return to the accommodations around 6:00 p.m. and you will enjoy your evening with dinner and just relaxing.
Day 6: Whale Watching Tour – Check Out – Tour Ends
Wake up to a freshly prepared breakfast (Sri Lankan and western foods changing daily as you wish). Today, you will have an early bird tea with some fruits. At around 6:30 a.m., you will get in the boat to start the whale watching tour. It will end before 9:00 a.m. and once you return to the accommodation, you will have your late breakfast. This will be the last day of your diving career with the team. Check out is by 12:00 p.m. Grab some photos at the surf camp to show off to your friends. Make sure you’ve got everyone on Facebook and say goodbye to your surf camp family. They miss you already.
